David Puvan is a PhD student at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. His research focuses on applied theatre interventions with multiply marginalized communities, specifically racialized queer individuals. Born and raised in Singapore, he has 14 years of experience as an applied theatre practitioner, using techniques such as Theatre of the Oppressed in social work, group facilitation, and community-based interventions.
